Kate’s from the Berkshires and Emir is from Turkey, which is why the Country Club of Pittsfield was the perfect spot. This couple’s story is one of pure love and joy! Everything at this wedding from the venue down to the smallest of details has a reason and a personal story. Since Emir is from Turkey and his entire family flew over to witness this event, a few turkish elements were included. One of those elements was a beautiful dressing robe which was given to the bride by Emir’s mother. Another element were small gold ring holders, gifts to all the bridesmaids.
Before the ceremony started we headed over to the beautiful estate, The Mount. Here we took all of our photos using the architecture of the building and it’s extraordinary gardens. This is one of my favorite spaces to photograph in the Berkshires! After we were through with photos we headed back to the Country Club to get ready for the ceremony.
The ceremony was especially touching as this was the first time both families met! It was a very personal and intimate ceremony including some turkish blessings, a sand ceremony and personal vows said in both English and Turkish. Once the ceremony concluded it was time for the real fun to begin. The rest of the night was filled with two cultures and two families combining into one. The evening ended with a sparkler send off and some amazing fireworks!

This has been quite the busy summer with lots of amazing weddings! I am so excited to finally be able to share everyone’s fantastic and unique weddings! Today we are showcasing Patrick and Julie’s Newport Beach House Wedding! Patrick and Julie are a fun laid back couple who were so much fun (and cute) to be around! They wanted a laid back but soft, romantic affair. Julie’s theme of blush and gold was perfect! Especially against the stunning gilded walls of Ochre Court. Julie wore a few personal touches on her wedding including a beautiful flowing veil that her mother had made for her as well as a family handkerchief which has been carried on wedding days for generations in her family.
Patrick graduated from Salve Regina University which lead to the decision to have their wedding ceremony inside the grand hall of Ochre Court. I love that venue and was so excited to be able to take advantage of it’s beauty after for photos! The couple was married by Julie’s uncle whom had only loving things to say. An Irish blessing was read to reflect the groom’s Irish heritage. While the ceremony took place, Patrick’s sister played the harp, it was just beautiful.
After the ceremony we took lots of awesome photos then headed on over to the Newport Beach House! We lucked out with a killer sunset which was perfect for those golden hour beach shots! The rest of the evening was upbeat and fun! Take a look.

Allison and Greg’s Glen Manor House Wedding was the epitome of romantic. Allison was dressed in the most dreamy blush & sherbet colored Lazaro dress! Her hair was up in an elegant bun embellished with a delicate headpiece encrusted with pearls and crystals. She carried the most lush peony filled blush & white bouquet. The bride’s blush cathedral veil was made by her mother! It was so gorgeous, especially with the colors of the gown. For her something borrowed and her something blue, Allison wore her great grandmother’s bracelet which was a classic art deco piece. The ladies wore the most heavenly colored sweetheart gowns. I would say they were a warm buttercream yellow which matched perfectly with the interior of the Glen and with the brides colorful gown. Greg and groomsmen went with a little more of a nautical feel. Their suits were navy with the most adorable Vineyard vines pink heart bowties. Greg had a gorgeous leather Ghurka belt and stylish Gucci loafers.
This wedding day was particularly romanic because yes, it rained and rain makes everything more swoon worthy and can create the most fantastic fog. When I say it rained, I mean it poured BUT that did not stop us from making beautiful images. The Glen has so many nooks and crannies to offer us while we waited for the storm to pass. The ceremony was held under the side awning which was so beautiful! The twinkle lights, the distant garden and the beautiful light all added to the mood. During the ceremony the couple “tied the knot” which I thought was so clever! In keeping with the slight nautical theme the couple had 2 different colored sailors rope which was tied into two knots and brought together. As our luck would have it the rain stopped just as the ceremony finished up allowing us to take some outside shots!
The details of the day were all so elegant and well coordinated – all the way down to the pink mr. & mrs. napkins. The invitations were stunning because they included a custom watercolor of the mansion! The Maid of Honor wrote all the wedding signage, table list & cards. One of my favorite things to see at weddings are the wedding photos of the immediate families especially grandparents and even great grandparents photos. Another nautical touch that was added was the guest signing “book”. They had a large nautical chart of Aquidneck Island which people signed and they plan to hang in their home. <3 Once the formalities were over and we got a shot with the little bit of sunset color the party began and it raged all night long! I think my favorite moment of the reception was when Greg and his friends circled Allison, swimming like they were sharks. This crazy fun group of boys do this at every wedding and they call it sharking. It always takes place to the song "Africa” and once the chorus comes in everyone starts jumping. I had such a great time photographing this part… I literally was in the middle of the circle jumping and taking photos. Hilarious!! Congratulations to Allison and Greg!!

OceanCliff Resort was the perfect backdrop for Allison and Greg’s Rehearsal dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening! The sun was glistening off the bay and when it set…the sky caught on fire. The relaxed evening had a classy nautical theme including a navy and white color scheme in both the linen and the flowers. The setting sun only enhanced the evening as everyone ate, drank and were merry! It was such a fun evening and I was so excited to see everyone again at the Glen for their romantic wedding!
