I was so excited for Chris & Jenna’s Haley Mansion Wedding! I had never shot at this venue and was looking forward to exploring a new historic location. This place did not disappoint.
Hands down my favorite thing about Jenna and Chris’s wedding was the vibrant color palette. The bold modern jewel tones of navy, fuchsia and purple really popped against the traditional historic backdrop. The perfect marriage of old and new. The colors were beautifully carried throughout all of the details of the day. The other theme that was carried throughout was a slight nautical theme. The guest place cards were made from oyster shells, the stationery had nautical markings and some stationery had anchors and whales! It was a nice nod to the nautical town of Mystic.
A few special items were incorporated into the couple’s day. The first one to mention is Jenna’s family pup who was the stand in flower girl. She was only there for a short time but was as cute as a button with her floral wreath. The couple also had a wine box made that held a bottle of bubbly and love letters which were brought up by the nieces and nephews. These letters and champs are to be opened on their first wedding anniversary. (Such a great idea!) Another special moment that took place was during the speeches. Chris’s brother (best man) was deployed overseas last minute and couldn’t make it to the wedding which was understandable but heartbreaking for everyone. Chris’s brother’s adorable son stood in for him up at the alter and his wife read the most thoughtful and loving speech which he had written for the couple.
Jenna and Chris, it was a pleasure photographing your wedding! Congratulations.

Bruce & Vanessa’s intimate wedding at Castle Hill Inn was a sweet and joyous event. I loved all the details Vanessa and Bruce put into their event. Vanessa fell in love with a seafoam green skirt which reminded her of the ocean and she thought it would be perfect for their seaside elopement. She embellished her skirt with a delicate gold belt. Bruce was dressed in blue and finished his look off with a blue tie with anchors. Vanessa’s favorite flower is the hydrangea so she made sure there were lots of beautiful blue hydrangeas around! She even had blue petals for all of her guests to throw. She had the most gorgeous robe from BHLDN which was so soft and feminine and featured blue and purple hydrangea bursts all topped off with french lace. Be still my heart! Hands down though, my favorite detail was the custom cake topper. The couple wanted to include their pets so they had a topper made of them in their wedding outfits (exact, down to the anchor tie!) with their beloved furry friends.
The couple chose to get ready together which was a sweet time for them. They were both so very excited to be getting married. Due to the weather the ceremony was held inside the Chalet which was a cozy setting for everyone to celebrate. The couple wrote their vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. After everyone went to the main house and celebrating by having a big afternoon luncheon. I’m so happy for these two, Congratulations!
Kristin and Derek’s Belle Mer wedding had all the glitz and glam a girl could want! Kristin envisioned a romantic wedding setting with lots of old hollywood glamour touches and I think she nailed it. The color palette of the day was mostly white but had access of metallics, gold & silver, with touches of pink to soften the tone and add a that romantic touch.
Kristin wore a stunning Monique L’Huillier which featured a lace bodice and had the most fantasticly fluffy bottom I have ever seen. I’m not going to lie, I went a little “ga-ga” when I saw it! She complimented her textured gown with silver Choo’s and a gorgeous orchard bouquet. Her ladies were dressed in antique gold gowns. The bottoms were complimentary to Kristin’s dress. Just perfect! Derek was dapper looking in his white dinner jacket and black bow tie.
The couple tied the knot on the lawn at Belle Mer overlooking the gorgeous view of Narragansett Bay. After the ceremony, it was picture time! We were so lucky the clouds had parted for the time we had by the water. I love the soft glow of sunlight coming through the clouds and reflecting off the water. It was so incredibly dreamy.
Once it was time to move inside for the evening the dancing never stopped. As a surprise to the guests a cigar roller came at the end of the evening. What a great way to end an event! Cheers! Congratulations Kristin & Derek.

Angela and Brad’s Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding was an event that held so much meaning from the choice of venue down to the smallest details of the wedding. Family for both the bride and the groom is very important. They really wanted their event to honor those they love and an introduction of the new family they have begun to create. The Boston Harbor Hotel was the perfect place to hold their September soiree. The historic building itself is grand and stands tall amongst the Boston skyline but the inside is as intimate and warm as could be. Imagine a gorgeous dark walled room, lit by candles and tables adorned with small romantic centerpieces made up of white, pink and sage colored flowers all overlooking the setting sun in Boston harbor. THE perfect location for this special event.
The couple chose the historic Sacred Heart church located in the North End, Boston’s historic Italian neighborhood and close to Columbus Park where Brad proposed! The church was magnificent in architecture; grand columns, curved ceilings, gold gilded details and the colors… oh the colors, were so beautiful! I loved the coral and blues as they were the perfect compliment to the soft pink and mint color palette that the bridesmaids were wearing. It’s as if it were planned! ;)
The day was intimate and warm from start to finish with the wedding party being made up entirely of family and the wedding lovingly planned by the maid of honor, the bride’s caring sister Marisa. Details were added to honor memories of loved ones lost but not forgotten. Brad & Angela were both very close to their grandparents. The couple chose to incorporate wedding photos of their grandparents, great grandparents and ancestors’ marriages detailed in gold, blue and taupe antique frames. The colors again complimented that beautiful romantic color palette the couple chose for their day. I love when couples display their ancestors’ wedding images because it’s a subtle reminder of what a meaningful day a wedding is and it shows the importance of photos and what they mean to us over time. Angela’s grandfather, who passed a few years ago, was always the life of the party and there was nothing better he loved more than to celebrate with family. This made it extra difficult to not have him there so references to him were intertwined into the day. A wishing well made by him, originally made for Angela’s mother’s bridal shower and wedding, was used to receive gifts and well wishes from guests. Marisa surprised Angela with a cake topper she created out of two bird whistles, which were replicas of the one their grandfather used to have when they were kids. Marisa painted the birds to look like doves because their Nonno would refer to the two of the them as “le colombine” or little doves. This handmade gift is packed with so much meaning, love and ingenuity.
One of my favorite moments for the day was the couple’s gift exchange. They exchanged their gifts before departing for the church where they saw each other for the first time. Brad surprised Angela with a beautiful bracelet which she wore for the ceremony. Another great personal touch was Angela’s gift to Brad. Brad is an avid outdoorsman so Angela got him this gorgeous compass with a significant and apropos passage which read: “Should you ever need to find your way home. You will always find me.” Brad is also a huge astronomy “nerd” (bride’s words) so she surprised him with tickets to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to spend the day with an astronaut. SO COOL!
Brad and Angela, Congratulations and thank you for sharing your family and your day with me.

I just loved Zoë and Scott’s rustic tented wedding! The couple chose to hold their celebration on the bride’s family’s summer property which was breathtaking. It was the perfect mixture of rustic charm, large golden fields and a seaside view. The homes which are on the property are from the 1700’s and the insides were so charming. I was excited to be able to photograph the day’s details amongst all the history of the home.
This wedding was a fantastic mix of rustic and elegant. The outside portion of the day was filled with lots of floral touches and in the color palette of pinks and reds. The colors looked phenomenal against the grey wood that was a part of the property and the lush greenery of all the foliage. Once inside the tent, it was as if you were in an enchanted forest. The long farm tables are what kept the theme of the farm and the color palette was brought into the tent but as an accent. The metallic table cloths, vases and china were the main focus along with the light trees!
The bride and her mother worked so hard on all the little DIY details such as the adorable signs which were attached to a pink bike and the guest seating display. It was so clever how they found a louvered dressing screen and wove ribbons and streamers through it. The metallic seating cards were placed in between. It added a great element of whimsy. The bride’s pup “Baby” was also a very active member of the wedding. She looked so adorable with her big red bow and pearls around her neck.
The ceremony was beautifully officiated by a very dear friend of the bride’s family. Once Scott stomped on the glass and the crowd cheered “Mazel Tov” we wished the couple away to take advantage of the gorgeous setting sunlight and all the properties’ little nooks and crannies. The couple had some heartfelt speeches from friends and family alike and then the dancing continued throughout the night. Congratulations to Zoë and Scott!
