Carly & Ralph’s Belle Mer wedding was a night to remember! It was a hot sunny July day with a warm but pleasant breeze blowing off the bay – the perfect summer day.
The couple used both of the beautiful spaces of Belle Mer. The Island House is a great getting ready space because it is a large white room flooded with soft natural light. The girls were getting prepared here while the boys were over in the Salon hanging out in one of the upstairs rooms. Once everyone was ready to go we headed out front to the “green wall” to capture the first look. There were lots of smiles and a few small tears. We walked the property taking advantage of both the scenery and the wonderful props the couple had brought in. One of my favorites was the outdoor wall of fabric and chandelier.
The color choice for this wedding was also on point. The bridal party members were dressed in a stunning shade of blue which was gorgeous out in the sunlight against the water but it also complimented the romantic pink and grey palette the ballroom was decorated with.
After photos, the couple went upstairs to sign the Ketubah and to get ready for cocktail hour. In keeping with Jewish tradition the couple opted to have their ceremony after sundown so the cocktail hour came first! The ceremony was held downstairs at the Island House creating a warm, intimate atmosphere. Once they said ” I do” , kissed and broke the glass everyone headed over the Salon for lots of great food, conversation and most of all dancing! The evening ended with the lights going down and the glow sticks being lit up! Congratulations Carly & Ralph!
