What a crazy week!! I have been in New York City for the past week photographing New York Fashion Week with Shannon Michelle Photography! This was such a fantastic opportunity and I had so much fun. I photographed 18 different shows ranging from ready to wear clothing, to artistic expression clothing to the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen! Of course the gowns were my favorite part! The most impressive aspect of the shows was seeing the craftsmanship and the details of the clothing such as intricate beading, subtle embellishments and the quality of fabric.
Venexiana by Kati Stern was my first gown show and what a show it was. Here are some of her gowns which would be great for your beautiful mothers to wear on your wedding day or they can be worn as alternative wedding gowns! Maybe Kati can make these gowns in white! ;)
A new meaning to the “little black dress”
Part Two of Paris includes Les Invalides, The Louvre, Walking the Seine River (Above & Below), The Tullerie Gardens, Versailles & the city at night. In case you missed it here’s part one.
Paris is such an amazing place. I am so grateful that I have been able to visit as many times as I have. Having seen the city a few times, I wanted to photographically challenge myself to see the city in a new way. I brought only ONE lens with me. It was the 40mm, a lens I was not familiar with at all. I quickly fell in love with the lens as it was so versatile. I was able to get both wide angle landscape shots and close up detail shots. The best thing about this lens was how light it was to carry around and how unobtrusive it was for the photo subjects. In addition to photographing Mr. & Mrs. M, I walked around exploring the city to see what I could find.
Part One includes: The latin quarter, Avenue Haussmann, the opera district, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Montmartre, a visit to Laduree and Angelina’s and a few evening shots.
This summer is just flying by! I can’t believe it’s already been 3 weeks since my trip to Paris. In case you weren’t following along on instagram, here are a few of my favorite iPhone images. Full blog post, Paris with one lens, coming soon!
