A Hotel Viking Wedding | Newport, Rhode Island

Lauren & Geoff were married in late April at the iconic Hotel Viking in downtown Newport.

The wedding colors were a mix of beautiful pink and blush tones accented with gold! The bride works for Swarovski crystal so naturally most of her accents were filled with sparkly bits! Her shoes were my favorites, different shades of pink embellished with all different sized pink crystals. The bride as well as her maids all wore matching crystal bracelets, a gift from the bride. My next favorite detail was the button trail down the back of Lauren’s lace dress. They were the perfect touch and caught light like nothing else. SWOON, I may have taken 1,000 photos of just her back.

The day was a rainy one but that didn’t stop us from making beautiful art. The hotel had so many nooks and crannies to use and the couple were up for anything. The windows, the hotel decor, the light and of course the couple were just stunning. I love the image of them looking so vogue!

The ceremony was held in the charming Kay Chapel just off to the side of the hotel. This is one of my favorite ceremony locations with it’s dark wood and interesting architecture. The couple were married in a short but oh so sweet ceremony where it ended with a fist pump of joy! After the ceremony the couple headed back to the hotel to begin the festivities. The highlight of the reception was the father daughter dance where Lauren and her dad started with a sweet slow song which had everyone in tears but then as a big surprise they busted out into a disco dance to the Bee Gee’s “Stayin’ Alive”. It was so much fun and there was an encore on the dance floor later in the evening. The dance party kicked off shortly after and didn’t end until late.

Lauren & Geoff, Congratultions!!
