A Narragansett Towers Wedding | Narragansett, Rhode Island
James and Katie’s Narragansett Towers wedding was filled with so much love and joy!
Katie is from Pennsylvania and James grew up in Connecticut but always summered in Narragansett. They are now both living in California! All of these locations played a large role in the themes for this wedding. The Towers was chosen as a venue because both the bride and groom have spent numerous summers in the area and they both love the water. The two main themes to the wedding was nautical (blue) and wine (pink). Some of my favorite details were the wine cork seating chart buoys, made by the bride and her very creative mother in law, as well as the table centerpieces. Some of the flowers were arranged in Napa Valley wine boxes. Each centerpiece had a flag named after special places in Rhode Island.
Another special item was the bride’s veil. She had her veil made from her mother’s from 1973. I love when bride’s incorporate some part of their mother’s wedding dress or veil, no matter how small. The last thing that we MUST talk about is the bride’s gown!!! It was the perfect mixture of elegant and comfort, perfect for their seaside gala. The lace detailing was just out of this world and looked oh so good on Katie!
The couple were married at the quaint church of St. Thomas Moore in downtown Narragansett. It was a beautiful ceremony and once it was over the couple made their grand exit through a rose petal shower. The couple had their wedding photos taken over on the beautiful grounds of the South County Museum. The sunlight that was streaming through the trees was soooooo dreamy!
Once back at the tower the reception kicked off with a spectacular first dance including lifts and dips followed by a sabre cutting of the toasting champagne by the couple’s fathers. The sun graced us with a soft pastel sunset which we of course had to take advantage of! The night went on with lots of fun, dancing, champagne bottles and air guitars.
Congratulations Katie & James!
